(thwacks head) Oh yeah. I always forget about the JDM pieces. I have a hard enough time getting my hands on USDM pieces these days.

I managed to crack one of my OEM USDM corners and picked a non-OEM style crystal-style amber corners off eBay (the outer cover is transparent amber ABS, instead of the refracted OEM style). I fixed my corners with a epoxy & patience, but the eBay ones looked so good I just left 'em on. Keep hearing stories about condensation buildup but 9 months now and they're still OK.

You could probably have a very nice NA k20R or as chris said frankenstein k24 putting out around 225(easily) or more and still have plenty of $$$ left over to put in the bank

Not really a fan of boost with K series motors mainly because everythings harder to get to/route pipes around.

BTW, not as though anyone cares, but about a month ago I moved my Sol from Tein "Type HA" coilovers (ITR application) to Skunk2 Pro-S coilovers (92-95 Civic). Flipped over to Skunk2 rear LCAs so I could completely ignore that &*(@#$&( rear shock bolt. The Teins had been on for 3 winters and the collars were badly corroded (actually cracked two trying to set it up for the winter). I burned a month spinning my wheels trying to get replacement collars from Tein.

Since the corners were torn apart for the shocks I also went ahead and put new brakes hardware on all four corners - rotors, calipers, pads, and SS lines. I had some seize problems and didn't want to deal with rebuilding them on a daily driver. Unfortunately the parking brake pivot was seized on the rears, so I bought new parking brake cables and dropped it off at a shop for cable + caliper installation. 6 hours labor, and I kept track of 'em - it took every minute. (flipping calipers were easy, cables were the nightmare)

But I flipped everything else over myself from factory hardware. I was pretty proud of myself, didn't crack a single bolt during removal, replaced most bolts/nuts with new hardware (the bolts that I didn't do are *still* on backorder), and... now I know that everything was done right (as right as a Helm says at least), with every bolt torqued to spec.

The Teins were initially a nightmare, I paid a shop to do the install and they overtorqued everything. And put the front springs on the rears and vice versa. I snapped Class 10 bolts just trying to back them out by hand with a little 3/8" socket wrench. Poor little Sol, where did the bad men touch you?

HALLELUJAH(or however the expletive you spell it).....my dad and his fiance are fighting and she's telling him to leave and my dad's listing all the reasons why he'd love to

NOTE:

This is the same woman who threw me out due to calling her a bitch and har son a ***. and the mother of the douche that pulled all that when "he"(read me and my dad because his mom encouraged him to go have one last dinner with his friends) had to pack all his **** onto the moving trailer. Believe me if this ends up NEARLY as well as I hope I'll consider myself the luckiest guy in america...I fucking hate their ffamily

Oh true, yeah mine hasn't been tuned, just running b16a2 map, no point when the only mod you have is a pod filter

Yeah I know, didn't want to sound like a broken record bro. I understand what your saying and fair enough. What do you think you'll do?

You may be joking, but I'm probably going to just throw them up on Craigslist or give 'em away in classifieds when the weather improves a bit. Otherwise they'll sit in my storage area for all eternity. Thing is... I'm in suburban chicago, and I don't want to deal with shipping them.

FWIW, the HA is an old Japanese-only model (bought them about 9 years ago), roughly equivalent to the Super Street but parts are incompatible (from what I recall it's a different thread pitch for the collars/shock bodies). I had three different dealers tell me that it'd be a special order from Japan to get replacement collars, but Tein wouldn't tell them what the price would be.

OTOH I guess the ITR LCA they're wedded at the hip to are probably worth something.

well I was suppostu put the car on hold anyways and just drive it/save dough after the tuning..and then this happened...now i spent 800 to get it back,my azenis are pretty much worn down from the trip to houston and back,I wanna invest in security but all this costs money.

Im debating between a few things..

1. suck it up,fix the little here and theres that bother me,basically get back INTO it.

but like I said the motivation on that is iffy.

2. trade it for something stock/5 speed + cash. Put some wheels/suspension on that, the rest of the money in the bank and call it a day..get back into the car thing later down, focus on some business opportunities that I have coming in the next few months.

3. i got a friend with a pretty clean little ej1 thats been sittin in his yard,I can go get that thing back in shape without even paying for the car up front (he'll sell it to me for 1200 black 95 ej1) once I start to drive that, part whatever I can/sell the del sol and put the money in the bank
