Well, not only do I not have a spring compressor but it looks like most of my bolts are rusted and probably going to break off So I need to set aside this WHOLE weekend.

I'll get'er done this weekend !!

I'm picking up a b16 swap next weekend for $900

lol. Wrap everything with a towel. It prevents stuff from going anywhere. I've never once used a spring compressor.

with a swap, take the cost you THINK it will be, multiply it by 1.5 (by 2 if you've never done a swap before), and that's how much it's really gonna cost.

LOL, SO TRUE I don't know if I'll ever do a swap again unless it's a K....building up a D is much more cost effective for the same or better results. ex. my NA build:
Injen 3" intake - 150
Overbored stock TB(62mm I believe) - 100
Portmatch everything on IM as well as open it up and port inside - 250
stage 2 cam with valvetrain and flat valves - 750
PM6 Pistons(11.25 CR in a Z6 with flat valves) - 150
LS rods (modified to work in d16 with ARP rods bolts)- 150
new rod bearings-100
bore/hone block-100
balance and BP bottom end - 100

total: about 1850 for what's virtually an all new motor, vs 3K + install fees(or in your case 900 + MOST LIKELY REBULILD+install(if you can't do it yourself)

should put me in the low 140ish whp (150 if I'm lucky)....which is about 5-10whp (at least) more than a stock b16a with a signifigant more Tq.

I won't even go into my tranny build up plans, but let's just say, it'll be very impressive for a "lowly" D series when I'm done

what the doorpanels & speaker covers? Leave it to a pro....trust me...I've tried it using the best adhesive availbe at pepboys and it still came undone on a warm(not even really that hot....about mid-high 90s) day
