ummm, what type of head is a "p08-2" ??? I could have sworn this sol was an S model...

EDIT: Well, it looks like my sol is an SI and not an S after all After cleaning the grime off the engine plate, I found D16z6 proudly stamped there....! Well, I guess I don't need that p28 ecu I was looking at buying....but, why doesn't the valve cover have "VTEC" anywhere on it? If this a '93 phenomenon? or something specific to us sols? I'm still a bit confused...

 

Another way to tell its an si: colored stripe on seats(93-95), power mirrors, rear disc brakes, stock alloy wheels

 

but can't you get those as options on the s model?

it could be that someone put a non-vtec head on a z6 block... what are the first 6 letters of your VIN? is it JHMEG1 or JHMEH6?

yeah I've got every available option: power mirrors, a/c, rear disc, cruise, and the five spoke 14" alloys.

i think i have decided for now for complete original reasons and cost wise, i'm going to do toda valvetrain, toda itbs, 12:1, and b16 rebuilt with 4.9fd and lsd. then later may just swap it all for K if i feel like it.

If someone is spouting off EG2 this and that I just look under their hood at the VIN stamp since it is a bit harder to get rid of that one.
