I had a jdm d15b...it was insane slow up till the vtec kicked in and was really loud, sounded like my friends gsr. When I popped the hood people went nuts cause it had two sylinoids, still it was a d15 so it was very very slow

My trailing arm bushings went out so I decided to do some research and found this thread. I love that there are more of us. I need to spend some more time reading, but for now let me just say hello and thanks for all the love for the y5. Mine has 114k on it and still purring like a kitten. My only problem has been the iacv which I'm just not happy about having to replace...

I got my 95 vx about a year ago. I love this car but for now it seems like I just can't give it enough TLC! I want to be apart of the E-Squad....WooT!!!

 

just got my vx 2 weeks ago. lol'd hard when i saw the intake mani and intake piping. it has issues currently. idles funny and gets stuck at 2k when i bring the car to neutral after its been running. disconnected iacv and funny idle stopped. took it off cleaned it and its still there. and the acceleration after being put in neutral, well, we'll see tomorrow if greasing the cable did anyhitng. any info/input much appreciated.

D16Y5 checking in. Picked up a 97 HX about 4/5 months ago, loving the MPG's I'm getting.

 

Decided to chime in here. Just got done building a turbo y5. I love it!! Catches boost real quick. Runs real good. 200 compression across the board. Got acouple vids on youtube. Check them out.

I have a JDM D15B which is a sohc that uses vtec - E. Can I join?

 

It's not that hard to believe, there is a large group of people on this site that care more about reliability and efficiency than speed.

hey guys i was just reading over your thread about vtec-E, and i was wondering what the value is of a (D16y5 vtec 1.6L, sohc,. cylinder head, distributor, intake manifold, and ECU complete setup with all sensors and plugs, from a 96' civic HX) i pulled this off a friends wrecked civic the head has around 110,000 miles everything ran and worked great no leaks and in very nice condition.. so i am trying to get an idea as to how much this setup is worth as a package deal, and if anyone is interested make me an offer for it.. also have many other parts from the same car- thanks James
