I'm in!!!. Just because my profile is not what everyone Else's appears' to be with my post count and what not doesn't mean to take me lightly when i write from my own exp. about my trial and error as i at least plan to continue on with or without (but of course it more fun with...) the helpful insight of other Gear Heads that also had that bug on their mind of this " D15Z1 Mini-Me... Will It Work/Run Good Enough/Be Worth It? " and i will continue to post the knowledge i obtain as i journey down the path of a Low Compression NX 75 wetshot then adding 7psi on a long well thought out turbo build i have been planning for quite some time. I will follow threw, My VX MUST & WILL surpass my Legend.

D16y5 here.. Y8 trans, intake with velocity stack... runs awesome.. 40+ MPG FTW..
Anyway..
Im wanting to put a chipped p28 and a obd2a to obd1 harness on the y5 to be able to disable few things.. To my understanding, i need a p07 map from 0-3000 RPM, and a d16y8 map from 3000 to redline, and set vtec at 3000 or so. i would also have to wire in a 4 wire o2 sensor. Is this correct?
I am willing to paypal someone some cash for their REAL help...

Anyone have experience with the newer vtec-e engine, D17A6?
Just wondering if people are getting 40+ mpg with those too.

Displacement : 1,668 cc (101.8 cu in)
Bore and Stroke : 75 × 94.4 mm (3.0 × 3.72 in)
Compression : 9.9:1
Power : 117 hp (93.2 kW, 127 ps) @ 6100 rpm[4]
Torque : 111 ft·lbf (15.3 kg/m, 150 Nm) @ 4500 rpm
Valvetrain : SOHC VTEC-E Lean Burn (4 valves per cylinder)
VTEC Switchover : 2300

(If there is a newer vtec-e thread, please show me)

Re: d15z1 / d16y5 VTEC-E Squad!
Anyone know the differences expected by the P2N ECU A31 and L31? I have a 98 HX, and now that I put on the Skunk2 intake manifold that eliminated the EGR I have a CEL. I was proud that doing everything else I had NO CEL, intake, header, exhaust (4-2-1 header and high flow cat). I was thinking to swap to the L California ECU if it is not expecting the EGR but I was worried what else might be different, like 4 wire vs 5 wire O2 sensors.
OR can you guys recommend a chipped ECU for the HX?

Whats the black box between the brake booster n fuel filter?, i have a 1992 civic Vx hatch and its giving me headaches since it wont pass smog due to the machine aborts it, since it loses power and always have to be gassing it, it passes at 10 mph but not at 25 since it doesn't hold a steady speed and idle. its my daily driver and daily headache any help is appreciated
