Who on here has ever had a boosted z6?Or knew someone that did...stock motor,10 psi max how dailyable would that be.Traction and mpg wise.Probobly an hf manifold with a 14b or 16g.
i wanted to take off the side moldings, the side skirts the front and rear lip and re-paint them black because they are fading and look like doo doo. i guess im being lazy is what it is
Dude I know how you feel. I work soo much that on days off touching my car is the last thing I want to do. But lately I'm getting on a boost kick so I'm getting the rex ready for a much needed performance upgrade.
you both just inspired me to do it
10 psi would be no problem daily on a stock z6, i would go with a 16g because the 14b is too small. on my ej1 i had it was a hf mani w/ 14b and the turbo didnt give enough power. when i had my greddy kit on my stock y8 i made 188 whp on 10psi w/ k series 310's on emanage and it was very responsive and snapy because it had torque but it had no top end power. thats why i like bigger turbos because its more top end, and have better traction down low and when your cruzing on the highway you stay out of boost, but the down fall on bigger turbos is loss of torque, and more lag. what makes a good turbo daily is all in the tuning. my buddy dailys his built b16 on 15psi and makes 394 whp. i would make sure to get like hondata or chrome to tune on and get some injectors that will be good. my last ej2 i had was stock z6 w/ a ebay kit daily on 10 psi then 15 psi with dsm 450's, all on self tuned afc hack and it still was good with no problems. if you get a good tune and have a decent fuel system then your good. my first two boosted civics on pump gas were good i got 25-30 mpg on 91 just daily driving. i say if your going with the 14b or 16g i would get 450-550cc injectors, and your stock fuel pump will be good up to 10 psi but if you go for more i would get a walbro 255 they are usualy 90 bucks or so, but it never hurts to get one any way just to be safe. let me know if you have any other questions i would be more then happy to help
