I was talking to Buck about Spocom and how im trying to make my engine bay a bit more presentable..he said he's going to help me repaint the VC and im going to further polish the heat shield and we are going to spray the engine bay with some degreaser and try clean it up..I don't want to do anything that'll go over the top which would cost me money & too much time because it's all going to get swapped sooner or later but im not trying to get a 0 at the show..if you guys have more ideas/parts laying around I could use for the show..that'll be dope..here's a pic of my pos engine bay..thanks guys

I guress I can give some incite being I have won at a few of these bigger shows and judged at them so I know what they look for. As far as your bay goes, its a Honda, this means you are judged more on cleanliness. This means that your only out is to make your engine bay look OEM new. Hondas are known for simplistic bays and engine swaps so if you are stock, it better be tucked or brand new. You won't get any pts for the intake either.. matter fact, you'd be better off with stock air box and a 100% clean and spotless bay. Since you are going for a VIP STYLED car since there is no such thing as a VIP Accord you can get away with less in the engine bay since most true VIP cars are stock to form. This means your interior will have to make up for it. If you want my Honest opinion you got a long way to go interior wise to meet VIP standards. Just keep at it bro, you're closer than ever and even though its a Honda its not normal to see Accords fixed up. You'd get even more pts if it was a 4 door but even now you'll at least get some exposure. GL guys.

Buck said with that cleaner he got everything is going to look like it came out of Honda showroom..crispy clean..we'll see what happens..my car's not really VIP though just a hint of stuff I like from the VIP scene and JDM scene but I mix it up to make it my own recipe to how I like it. Im working on the interior now..just ordered Momo ebrake kit(originally wanted the woodgrain one but its discountinued and no one has it ) which includes handle for $100 black leather boot for $50 and adapter for $10 and ordered SEM black plastics dye kit from Eastwood as well as the plastic adhesion promoter. Going to dye the plastic bottom pieces black and my friend is going to rewrap my door panels with micro suede as well as the dash. Hopefully all of this gets done before the show..I was going to order the black carpet but couldn't afford $200 bucks right now, since I bought all this other stuff..like I said before no sense dropping money on the current engine setup since im swapping soon which will include mild minor wire tuck but thanks for the advice Josh!

I just got the roll in time/info for Spocpm..it's a bit of a grueling schedule..roll in time starts @9am and show ends @ 10pm and we probably won't get out til 11pm..for my particular case its going to be leave @7am..and come back home @ 1am. I better make this worth it..need ya'll help Squad?! Only have two and half weeks

 

Is it indoor or out door. If its outdoor, you'll get out quick, if its inside, good luuck lol. As far as the carpet goes, you can dye that too ya know... easier than dying plastics.

Indoor, show ends @ 10, thats why I said 11pm probably take about an hour to get out of there..about the carpet..don't want to scuff my white kicks on a dyed carpet..lol jk it needs to be replaced its all fawked up..for $200 you get OEM quality carpet..its custom but not the egay thin carpet cheap stuff..these are premolded guaranteed fitment w/sound deadning material but I'll get it later on..it's no biggie..the rest is what im worried about.
