The more you notch the frame for the axles and tie rods, the weaker it becomes. Just to throw that out there for ya.

Can we ASSume you've already modified your shock towers in some way to provide clearance for the UCA's?

After you've done all that, your oil pan becomes even more vulnerable, if it's not destroyed already.

Thats what I ment to say. I took a grinder to my frame and I hit up the pinch welds in the wheel wells. Had no issues besides my UCA's hitting the shock towers

You should be more clear on what your asking

Notching the frame won't lose any integrity as long as the notch is done properly

Shock towers are clearanced and the engine/trans is getting raised as soon as I get the time along with a skid plate

My old car had the jack points at a little over 2" and I know people are lower than that so I don't know how no one has ran into axle issues

Notch the frame and replace with tubing and welded in. If people can do it on 5000lb cars and trucks, there shouldn't be any problem on a civic

Yeah but those vehicles are usually body on frame, not unibody construction. I'm not even sure where you would weld tubing on a unibody Honda after cutting a notch for axle clearance.

You would box in the notch after cutting the section out. Just like when notching a frame for a truck. Not really gonna make the frame any weaker if done correctly. My brothers S10 with a monster notch, which requires cutting the frame completely and welding in the notch, was rear ended hard as hell and didnt damage his frame at all.

Just saw an early 90's Toyota pickup the other day slammed way down on BBS-styled wheels. Looked pretty sick.
