Haven't had a computer for a couple days! Almost done with my tuck in the new LS. All it needs is the bay sanded and primed for paint now! Exterior is half way done being sanded, too. I've gone through like 20 DA pads already!

hey guys...So here's an update on my DA.
Driving in to work tonight (working graveyard) Got the car cruising at 60 then all of a sudden the revs drop to 0. Then the Engine Light comes on, Battery light comes on, and the oil light comes on. I'm just about ready to sell this thing. Turns out..and I think that this is the problem..Alternator. Can anyone verify this? My mechanic says that this is the problem. The tow truck guy said that there's a lot cranking power, so he thinks it may be the fuel pump. I'll have to check to see if fuel is being delivered at the fuel filter by disconnecting it. and double checking for spark.
Has anyone replaced this thing at home? how long does it take.
Looking at the shop manual, I have to remove my CV joint.
Any help would be appreciatedl.

its "easy". no need to remove anything. just take the bolts out, take the belt off, and drop it out from the bottom. easiest way to do it. thats how i did mine. have to finaggle it out between the block and the rear cross member. same way to get it back in
I couldn't get mine to fit out between the block and crossmember. I pulled off the intake manifold to do it. The whole project took me 2 hours but I'm sure there's a better way to do it.
really? i did mine that way more than once. hmmm, i cant remember if i moved my exhaust when i did it or not, but i know i got it out that way
