Default Zex Nitrous Kit Questions...

I'm getting a Zex Kit in a couple of days and just have a few questions about it.

I've heard some people say you need to warm the bottle before u can spray...is that right, does the bottle have to be around 98 degrees to spray? If I were to spray and it was colder, what would happen...do you suggest buying a bottle heater, or what?

Lastly, I was first told to run a 65 shot that I just needed to retard the timing on my cam gear 3 degrees...now I'm being told that I need to adjust the ignition timing...which one is correct, or do I have to do both?

The bottle will have its best pressure at 98 degrees. It does not have to be that temperature to be used, you will just have better results if it is.

Retard ignition timing, a few degrees should be fine.

Ok, so I don't need to retard the cam gear 3 degrees, correct??

How would I go about retarding the ignition timing a couple degrees?

i would leave the cam gears alone... retard the ignition timing using a timing light

here are some instructions in case youve never done it:

To adjust the timing do I have to disable the V-Tec by putting some sort of jump wire to the computer?

no, just make sure engine is fully warmed and idle below 875-900 rpm.

Does anyone have a complete explanation of how to change the timing? Or maybe a site that tells you how...

dont even bother changing the timing with 65 shot . if you do it on the dist , you will lose when not spraying
either get a dig 6 or dont even do it . . . your not spraying enough to have to reatard it . .
and the bottle warmer will be your best mod you can get with nitrous. i am living proof.
