Default Zdyne ECU

Is anybody running this with a B18A? I was just curious how this ecu is affected by extreme temp changes. I live in an area that has highs and lows of +38C to -38C. Also how does it handle elevation changes? If i were to go from 3000ft above to sea level will it adj by itself or will I have to re tune it everytime I go back and forth between the cities or for climate changes?

I've tried emailing Zdyne but I guess they don't respond to Emails well..

Any comments would be appreciated

TIA

Yes, Zdyne is not big on email but boy can they talk on the phone. They've got the best customer service i've seen, I've called a few times and i'm always on the phone talking with them forever. They are extremely helpful. Now onto your question. I own a zdyne but I am by no means an expert on how it works but i'll give it a shot. It should work fine in all the cases you mentioned since it is still a stock honda ecu and retains all the stock honda programing for temperature and elevation adjustments. Basically you program it with the fuel and ignition maps that you desire and the ecu will vary those maps according to conditions, just like the stock ecu did. Go up a mountain and the ecu will lean out your fuel map to compensate for the thinner air, it gets cold and the computer adds fuel to your maps.

I know what you mean by emails... they never answer them. But if you call and leave a message they'll call you back in an hour and talk to you for however long you need to answer your questions. I've personally met bill to pick up my ecu, really nice guy never had to call for any problems since i've installed it.

Your car should run the same as it did if it was NA. Just with full boost control

Hey dude wassup? I'm running a B18A with a Zdyne. Nah It shouldn't be affected by temp changes or altitude changes. Just life a factory ECU it automatically compensates for that stuff..........Just curious tho, what tune are using for you B18A?

I don't have one yet.. I'm looking at Stand alone units for next year. I just wanted to know if it would meet my needs. I'm sick of playing with my car. I just want it to run reliably and run quick.. I'm gonna get a bike for my real speed needs

Thanks for your replies guys
