Default zc turbo

i have a buddy who is building a zc motor, i told him not too but he doesnt listen
he wants to know what turbo he should go with, im lost when it comes to picking a turbo.

so how about a few ideas?????

What are his goals?
What are the specs of the build?
Street/Drag?

Answering these questions will help people pick the right turbo for his set-up.

his is going to sleeve and bore it out
9.1 pistons
eagle rods
honda bearings
arp head studs

and its going to be his daily driver with the occasional weekend drags

he doesnt want to spend that much money, he just wants an idea of what turbo to go with the set-up i listed..

he could pull 400 if he wanted to, lots of variables like who's tunnig the car, turbo size, octane, head work.... ZC like boost

like you said he can pull 400whp depending on the turbo size, so what turbo would you rec. for a motor being revved to 7500 rpms

ZC motors are like the red-headed step-child of honda. DOHC, with SOHC parts, and half the reliability of either. Unfortunately to answer this question that you asked, you need to know more about what he WANTS. If you think he's not trying to spend much money, then ebay away, but that could just lead to more problems on a motor that even though it has some aftermarket support, its the time, effort, and bullshit he may encounter later on. WHAT IS HE TRYING TO MAKE OUT OF THE CAR? WHAT IS HIS BUDGET? Getting 400whp out of a stock block is just asking for it to go bye bye. Be realistic, and get some information from your buddy about what he wants to do..
