Default I thought...

...they were all chromoly? At least they used to be.

Did Z10 switch to mild steel at some point, and are now offering a choice of mild or chromoly?

I installed some yesterday and we had to cut the charge pipe about an inch. It fit perfect after that and the car feels good. IMO, I think they are a good thing to have.

yep, we installed them on my car yesterday. u do have to cut the cahrge pipe a little but that was with a revhard kit, not sure about others. install went pretty smooth overall. just be patient lining things up. the car feels alot more solid now. I never really had wheel hop problems before but i got the Z10's just for like icing on the cake. They definitly improved steering response though. i noticed that more then anything.

I looked on the website, and it said the traction bars are adjustable. What is the adjustment for?

im curious, what is everyones procedure for setting the pre-loads. the way we did mine, is had em real loose and turned em till we got a little tension and then went 3 full circles from there. sound right?

also, say u set one to 3 turns preload, and accidently set the other to 2 1/2 could it cause the car to pull in one direction?

It does fit with some slight modification. It nothing hard because I thought I was gonna run into a whole mess of stuff to modify and I didnt.

The adjustability is for preloading.

FWIW i am writing an artticle that details how radius arms fully work. After a lot of research i *sheepishly* state and now feel that the competition engineering bars are the best designed bars out there. Yeah yeah yeah i know its ridiculous to think about that, but when the article is out, you will soon understand. The suspension geometry is so simple and straightforward its shocking. When we made the z10 bars we missed one VERY important and basic rule, which is why they pull buhings out.

I have heard similar statements before. However...I was told the Comp.Eng. bars can't be street driven. (At least very well, that is.) The placement of the radius arms creates wheel/tire contact at full steering lock

Well he said that they were the best designed not the best working.. Now only if there was some medium between the two there would be a great product.
