Default Your choice of motor.

I am RPC07 at a buddy's house, he cant log out for some reason.

I am in an ordeal, my old motor(LS/Vtec) was stolen from a shop. I can pick one of two options a) wait 3 weeks and have a new LS/Vtec built or b) an already built b18c with 12k miles on build that can be sent to me ASAP.

Both motors will undergo boost from a t3/60-1 approx ~20psi track and ~8psi daily. The b18c has darton sleeves and 8.3:1 c/r. The LS/Vtec would have golden eagle sleeves with 9:1 c/r.

Both are equal in qualitly just slightly different specs. My only fear is the lack of strength from high rpm revs on the LS/Vtec block. Where as the b18c was made for high rpm.

Also both have built heads with skunk2 valvetrain but the b18c also has skunk2 turbo grind cams.

You guys choose

PS: Sorry no choice of smoking weed everyday...

It will be changed to 9:1 eventually. But as of now in its untuned state it will stay 8.3:1

yeah I would mill the head that would give you 9:1 for cheap and you wouln't have to tear apart the motor.

as for the choice I don't think there is anything I would choose over a built B18C1.

either way you should have a nice setup, I wish I had that choice.
