What car do you have? What are your plans? What is your overall budget?

Add up the cost of the hardware plus the software, then compare it to Neptune, Hondata & eCtune.

The price difference is minimal & you are going to end up with a much better tuning experience on an alternate system.

300-400 Euros ($375-500) is a bit tight of a budget for Neptune, Hondata, or Ectune. You're going to be stuck working with Freeware software. Now theoretically you may be able to get away from not buying a wideband due to the fact you can use the dyno shops or maybe another local's wideband.

OBD1:
--Chipped P28 ECU - $150
--Harness - $90
--Ostrich - $175
--Datalogging - $35
--Crome Pro - $150
--LC1 w/ Gauge - $180

Total: $780
Comments: You can run Crome free and datalog via something else like Innovative's software. That will save $185. OBD1 tuning solutions are simply better than OBD0 at this point.

OBD0:
--Chipping Kit - $30
--Ostrich - $175
--Datalogging - $35
--LC1 w/ Gauge - $180

Total: $420. Remember OBD0 software is less refined than even Crome. It works, but most people want you to convert to OBD1.

But in Germany are two guys (MKR) with an own develpopment in awsome OBD0 software and experience. So there is no real need for converting to OBD1.

But they can also help you out and tune your car for a good price.

I can imagine you know the site www.mkr-turbo.de

There is STILL development going on with TurboEdit software and they have found more tables to play with...you need to hop over to PGMFI and join up:
