Default which would be a better setup??

which motor do you all think would be a best for a Jackson Racing or Vortech Supercharger?? the 99-00 Si B16A2 or the GSR B18C1? i plan on getting this engine built, but not sure which one would give me the most torque and hp. i would think the GSR motor b/c it is bigger...but i'm not expert on this stuff.

also, i'm stuck between a Jackson Racing and Vortech Supercharger. i've looked at soo many online articles and they both sound good. which would you all prefer? thanx guys/girls for the help.

vortech and b18, you will get more power out of that than the b16, i can guarantee that.

The vortec yields higher numbers... but it's all at the peak of the powerband. There are numerous guys out there that have dropped $5K on a vortec setup and only hit low 14's. IMO, this type of SC does not work well with low displacement engines.

The jackson (roots style) charger will give you instant torque, but not as high numbers. 1/4 mile times vary from as high as 14 flat (usually due to no traction) to as low as 12's on street tires with a well built setup.

Most everyone on this site will tell you to go turbo.

yah, my first choice was the GSR engine. i did a seach on this site for 'jackson racing' and i've found that most people like the JRSC on their GSR. what would be the best compression, exhaust, and hondata to get? i really want to get a hondata, but dunno which would be best, i think the s200 would work. anything else i should get to properly tune my set-up (GSR w/JRSC with boost upgrade)? thanx

Hondata - check out their site, the s100 if it's for street, s200 has more options, is better for track

Exhaust - Kamikaze header - 2.5" high-flow cat - 2.5" Thermal R&D Exhaust

Compression - Very debatable... Eventually, I'm going to re-sleeve to 84mm, and go with 9.8:1 compression.

Do a bunch of research! The answers are out there, you just have to wade through all the crap to get the real info.
