Is it worth it to wait for ARP head studs??
In case some of you don't already know...ARP head studs for the H22A have been on backorder for months!!! they give you the same answer everytime "should be ready in a week or two". us H22A owners are getting really sick of this. my motor is ready to go together...should i wait it out or throw in some stock ones??
btw...ARP catalog specifically says their studs are for the H22A4 (5th gen prelude), i own an H22A1 (4th gen). i've heard talk that they're not the same...can someone verify this?

i was going to use arp head studs however when we went to grab them, we only found seven. so i'm not using them. the motor runs fine. i mean, i'd use them over OEM if i could, but in your case, i wouldn't sweat it.

Well, just looking at the part numbers on HondaAutomotiveParts.com the H22a1 bolts are 31415 and the H22a4 are 31416. The H22a1 bolts are more expensive for some reason and it might be that they're the same part, but they just want to charge more since it's an older motor, since the descriptions are the same.

So they're the same length, the only thing that can be different is the thread, which would seem unlikely to me.
