Worth the effort to add a resonator?
I have a full 3" exhaust with a vibrant straight through muffler on my turbo setup and i just cant take how loud it is anymore. Its fine for the most part but anything above 60mph for a period of time is starting to get to me.
I was thinking putting on a resonator to quite things down some. Something like the standard vibrant bottle resonator or better yet the ultra quiet version if i can fit it.
Are either of these going to quiet things down much or would i be wasting my time/money?

OEM muffler + e-cutout ftw.
But since that's probably not an option, adding a resonator would help a lot. I've had a straight 3" with just 2 cheap resonators, and it was tollerable on the highway. They tends to mellow the sound a lot, getting rid of the most annoying sounds. You would only be able to run the ultra quiet if your car is at stock ride height, unless you don't mind it rattling on the chassis. The regular version from vibrant would be a decent investment, although I'd sway towards magnaflo instead.
