Hey guys....now that im boosting.....winter is fast upon us northeasterners.......i was wondering what precautions i should use? also just as a general heads up, what types of daily precautions should i use. So far i NEVER get on my throttle untill my engine is warm, and i never shut down immediatly untill i have cooled off a bit......turbo timer. but for winter i plan on dropping to 3 psi or so, how can i protect my beautiful I/C? any thoughts guys

I make sure I rinse my car very very regularly. I don't let salt stay on for any length of time if I can help it. my 89 Integra rusted out so bad that I couldn't pass PA inspection. I went so far as to paint all my suspension parts with POR15 rustproofing and chassis paint on the 95 GSR.

Winter?? what's that?
bastard californians
I'm freezing right now
just let your car get up to temp before boosting, and watch for boost creep if your runing the turbonetics wastegate.

winter is where all the roads are covered in dirty slush and salt that corrodes our paint and rusts our metal. It also include patches of ice that make our cars suddenly spin out of control.
On a car level......it basically sucks.

Oh, we sort of have that here. Accept our cars just get faster because of the nice cold intercooler. Oh and sometimes we have to wear a jacket outside, kinda sucks. MUHAHAHAHAHA

Tim, You can always just garage your car and visit it every once in a while. Just drain the oil and set it on jackstands all winter. Buy a $500 piece of crap to drive all winter.

Go to a drug seizure auction to buy a cheap beater. If you buy a car, change its appearance somewhat, so when the drug dealer that used to own the car sees you, he won't shoot you.
