will this turbo set-up be succesful???
hey whats up everyone im looking for some advice here. im looking to turbo my 1999 civic si. My car has a 97 b18c1. i have been looking around for a turbo kit. my plan is to find a turbo kit brand new , whether it was sold as a kit or i pieced my own together, and run it with my stock internals at around 6-8 psi.i wanna be able to put down 250-280whp. most importantly i will be driving this car as my everyday car and am still going to highschool, and have a part time job. i am looking to spend about 4,000 when it is all said and done(dynoed, installed, injectors, fuel managment) the kit i am looking at is below i would just like to know what everyone thinks about it and if anyone has any suggestions on changes or other things to help me keep my car reliable and still fun. the set up follows and is available from a local tuning shop:
ss tubular header
precision sc 61 turbo
precision intercooler
turbo smart waste gate
blow off valve
piping
440 injectors
downpipe
and hondata S200
thanks ,
chris

Might as well go bigger than 440cc injectors. the precisions are the same price from 310cc up to 880cc

an sc61 is ALOT bigger than what you need.
you could make that power at 6-8 psi with a much smaller turbo, without the lag and price tag. your best bet is probably a 50 trim t3/t4, which is plenty for you goals.
good luck.

I was just gonna say this.....A smaller turbo will get you the same goal with less lag and less money
