wierd problem with built b20vtec

wierd problem with built b20vtec
im working with a friend who has a built b20vtec turbo. problem is it wont start with its old ecu (chipped/tuned p28). its been running fine for about 3 months with this computer. all of a sudden it wont start. got fuel got spark wont fire. NOTE: if i plug in a bone stock p28 it will start and idle the car. ive tried about 4/5 chipped ecu's and they will not start the car.
its a 97 ek hatch
built b20 block
stock b16 head
rc 750 sat. injectors
obd2 to obd1 jumper p28
any help is appriciated
