Which wideband to get?
running a GSR fully built. planning on running 22-24psi. I was going to get the AEM wideband. I was told to get the Innovate because it reads down to 11 and the AEM does not. If I go with the Innovate which kit should I get?
Thanks
Thanks
innovative is a good unit. I went zietronix for the datalogger. Ive also seen on pwordjdm for like 250 buck a ngk one. Idk about it but ngk is usually a good product.

ive "heard" that the aem is the worst of them in respect to accuaracy. There was a test done a while ago and i sure the innovative scored the best.

I like the Innovate, but I am a tad bit biased (I sell them)
The reason I do like them though is that they use a standard Bosch 5-wire O2 sensor. You can get them at most any local VW dealership easily and low in cost. The AEM units have a similar sensor but the plug end is different and seems you can only get it through them or a dealer (ghey) so it's quite a bit more expensive for replacement sensors.
The Innovate units can also be strung together and daisy chained if you have need of running more than one unit.
For looks, go with the XD-16 unit (LC-1 and XD-1 gauge in combo) for $399.
The LM-1 is functional and easier to install...its just a big ugly box though thats really for tuners...
The LC-1 is the wideband unit only...you need to display Air/Fuel ratio on a laptop of some sort though...
All Innovate widebands have TWO analog outputs for feeding either a 0-5v or 0-1v signal to an ECU or engine management of your choice.

ok, so with my plans, what kit would i need and how much do you sell it for? I don't need anything fancy, altough that XD-16 gauge is very nice. I can manage that older a/f gauge that fits the 52mm gauge pod.
XD-16 is the best looking wideband with a guage, and if you buy them together its only $399.
If you want a little better than that PM me...
And yes, I think you can get the LC-1 and Im sure others out there are selling a gauge for it...but it wont be as nicely integrated as the XD-1 gauge. Probably just reads from the 0-5v output of the LC-1.

There was a magazine, SCC I think....not sure exactly, did a test on just about all of the major widebands and HKS came in as the most accurate.
I have the AEM and for the price I think it's the best unit available. I think there were problems with the older models, but I've heard nothing but good about the newer gauge UEGOs.
