I purchased the innovate motorsports LC-1 wideband, and I'm thinking of running my exhaust straight off the turbo, and out the side of the front bumper, but I'm not sure if that's enough room to mount the wideband bung. Anyone else done a open dump with a wideband setup? If so, how far is it suppost to be mounted from the turbo?

Only 8 inches? That isn't too bad then. Anyone ever wired up one of these widebands before? I'm going to be using Vi-Pec, but just curious how difficult the wiring is gonna be. Looks pretty complicated for me (horrible with wiring).
If its rather short and wide, you'll want to use make an educated guess. Putting it too close to the exit of a large pipe can cause issues at lower RPM's where atmosphere ismomentarily pulled in between pulses. You don't want it too close to the turbo, because most widebands will error out above 800C. One thing you could do is try the copper heatsink method. Craft stores sell copper sheets, and you basicly clamp 1-2 sheets between the bung and sensor.

I roughly measured it and it's gonna be atleast 20 inches of pipe from the turbo the side of the front bumper. So if I put the sensor at like 14 inches, it should be far enough from the turbo, and from the end of the pipe. Many have asked why I'm doing my exhaust like this, well I'm just sick of looking at my fart can on the back. I'm gonna cut the end of the 2.5 inch pipe exactly flush with the bumper, then put heat tape all around the hole, and hope the exhaust doesn't melt the bumper!
