Velocity Stack on Turbo.. what are the pro/cons of this?
Ive been seeing quite a few of these on videos ive been watching..
Mostly on SR20, 2JZ, RB motors and some Rotaries.
what is the benefit of putting a velocity stack on the turbo?

it allows the air to enter the turbo w/o restrictions...aka it removes the turbulence by slowly increasing the air's velocity as it enters the turbo....theoritically making it take in a better intake charge

Re: (drumking15)
They really do help a lot ive heard, its just like opening up the hole on the turbo by a bunch-- I just made an airbox and put the velocity stack in it with a pipe running to the turbo, its not done yet but it will be tuesday. I dont have a camera so I cant take pics. I do have a extra velocity stack though cause it was a set of 2 I got. 2.5" small side, and it flares out to 4.5". Im gonna make a thread soon I was trying to get like $20 for it if youre interested, its aluminum btw.
