i have 2 intercooelrs with diffrent sizes and they look diffrent inside, both are no name intercoolers
i planing to pick upp 340-380 whp on a b16a vtec with 18psi in boost with a t04e 57trim
the bigger one has 3" in and out and the other has 2,5"

will a 2" charge pipe from turbo to intecooler be enough for 340-380 whp or will it be to small, from intercooler to intake i am going 2,5"

The smaller one should do just fine....

 

The big one is bar and plate, the small one is tube and fin.

Yeah and I've always heard that bar and plate intercoolers are more efficient.

 

do i lose spool up if i use the big one?

itll spool slighty slower in theory because it has a larger void to fill because its bigger...but both will work just fine but id also choose the smaller one for better cooling ability

What I think he means to say is that with the larger intercooler, there is going to be larger pressure drop of your entire system, because there is more area to be filled. So that means it may take 1-2 psi of boost more needed to make up where you were previously. The "spool" question depends upon the turbo that you use. If you know that efficiency will not be affected by a change in 1-2psi, (which is more affected on smaller to mid-framed units), then you've got nothing to worry about. If you have the typical "t3/t4" sized turbocharger, then you should be fine.
