why is nitrous considered ricey?
ok i know fast and the furious killed it lol but....
cheap and easy to do
with the right setup u could do alot of damage on the tracks
simple push and go
doesnt do the whole bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuur thing like in the movie and in the games
whats the deal?

its good to go fast, but its not as consistant as you need it to be to win bracket races and such..
its good if your loosing and you got money down though
I had it for a while and well its fun and all but you want to always be holding the botton and it does get very expensive very quick. boost is much better IMO

yeah no doubt boost is better cause u can reach higher levels of consistent power but i dont think nitrous should be looked at as ricey especially if u cant afford a turbo setup (thats done right now half done)

I'm actually selling my complete turbo setup to go built N/A. I'm also considering a little nitrous since my lower end has AEBS sleeves. I can spray all day long and not have to worry about it, and make enough power to where I'm not going to kill someone.
Personal preference. Who cares? If done properly nitrous has great benifits.

Exactly. Most kids have already plumbed speaker wiring to the trunk, so naturally they have the main skill needed to install NO2. Rice is usually cheap bolt-ons that give you the feeling of being super-special, which NO2 can be. But just like 3inch+ drops, it can really **** things up if you don't use it properly. Its also ricey in 'safe' amounts, since that little nitrous doesn't do much for performance.
I believe its the fact that NO2, in the proper form, can be very potent. One of the fastest streetable Hondas here (10.2 or 10.3 in the 1/4) is a D16 running a T04 turbo and 245-shot of Nitrus to spin the snail up.

Re: (nevin)
I love nitrous but I have boosted car now. I'm thinking about building a daily driver with 150 shot for fun with a/c. I cant drive my boosted car in hot weather. It starts overheating after a while. my friend went 12.2 first pass with stock jdm type r in a eg with a/c. That's some good time for a stock car.

True story that my boyfriend told me -
Girl gets into his car. ('94 Honda Prelude.) She's one of those ghetto Asians who are all into the import scene and stuff - basically, a ricer. (She's like, 16.) First thing she says:
"Do you have NAAAAAAWWWS?"
I guess it's because like, dumb 16 year old bitches don't know anything OTHER than what they've seen in Fast & Furious.

People around here live on nitrous. I have a built motor with turbo..I remember this guy asking me, do I have nitrous I would be the fastest out their on the streets. I guess they think turbo doesnt do as much as nitrous or better

I am wondering where you heard nitrous is ricey.
The only Nitrous I consider ricey is the **** thats for show > 1/2 the time not even hooked up . just mounted between subs and amps.

You're out of your mind. For me nitrous is better than turbo. I only have to tune for WOT and 4500 RPMs to redline. The rest of the time the car drives like stock because for the most part... it is.

But the power output isnt even compareable and isnt there like turbo is.
Trust me. I ran 3 diff nitrous set ups in my ITR, 3-4 NA set ups, 3 Turbo set ups, stock block, 2 built blocks.
I tried it all and nothing was like what it ended up being.

Re: (mike93eh)
I think that it all evens out, instead of filling up the bottle you are filling up the gas tank. I will say the obvious though, boost is a constant. Since we are on the subject of money and nitrous, I am curious the difference in cost of nitrous. For example in Maryland I pay $5.00 a pound and when I lived in New Orleans I paid $3.00 a pound.
