What's your budget?

Prosport is a good budget brand, as well as Depot Gauges

There are some Autometer that are pretty affordable as well

What exact gauges do you want? If you just want boost and oil then the door is wide open within your budget.
I like the Apex'i gauges, but some people hate them =/

Yeah.... umm. I'm sure he meant total cost for gauges would be under $300. At least on this forum.

I have only 3 gauges in my turbo civic, so to give you an idea

Autometer phantom Oil pressure $52.00

Autometer phantom Boost $67.00

AEM A/F wide band o2 (comes with sensor)$150

All can be bought from Amazon and those are shipped prices.

Spek makes really nice gauges but they arent cheap.
stack has super nice gauges as well, also not cheap.

the new autometer elite gauges are exact copies of the stack gauges down to the faces and buttons. I'd run those.

precision stepper motors.

most high end gauges use very precise digital stepper motors, advanced circuitry, and precision sensors.

I usually buy gauges and stuff from MAPerformance.com or optionsauto.com

accuracy and durability goes a long way, get sunpro from autozone and see what true sh*t is like. Never read correctly, flimsy, turnover time before replacement is about 3 months.

Budget build - Phantom Autometer. Baller budget Defi... HNNNNGGGGGGG. Do want.

PS, my next build I will have a 2 5/8 gauges for the ones I need to see at a glance because I can't see sh*t when at full boost plowing through the gears on those 2 1/16 gauges...

No a baller budget is stack pro digital gauges, omori gauges, or an AiM or Racepack digital dash.

honestly I don't get the hype around Defi. I remember when they first came out that everyone wanted them because of the amber display matching the jdm amber clusters.

other than that the defi gauges are pretty much the same thing as most other gauges just in a fancier shell.

Sorry for thread jacking but I was planning to redo my qauge cluster and found something that I like on Evans tuning tech fourm but didn't really like the look of the spa gauge.

Since we're talking about guage here, are the greddy multi d/a gauge any good or is it all just names only.

Spa has high quality products though, and you can't argue with the affordability of their dual display gauges. I would do something similar but with Stack Pro gauges.

Greddy gauges are nice but your paying mostly for the name.

I disagree. The GReddy gauges are a long lasting gauge whether it was the mechanical or electronic (used the same company that Defi uses). In fact, I still have my old-school GReddy white face gauges from 2000, and they work better than ever.

The Multimeter is a great addition, to solve the problems of multiple gauges , yet with an analog "feel" to it.

With GReddy Electronics, to me, anyway, you get more than name.. Unlike most people on here though, you gotta pay a little more.

Don't know if anyone has covered Prosport. They're good gauges for the price. I'm using the EVO series. The only issue I have with them are the senders. I'm on my 3rd oil pressure sender and my 2nd boost gauge sender since I bought them 3 years ago.

The Greddy gauges are nice and durable but they are so expensive for no reason, you can have the same or better quality for far less money.

for less money I can have a complete Stack or Spek gauge display with each gauge having an analog output for datalogging and each gauge having high/low limit alarms, not to mention peak and recall functions.

I run autometer. to me those are as budet as anyone should use. they are a quality gauge and really affordable at sub 100 per gauge.

turbo car at minimum should have a wideband, boost/vac and oil pressure, highly recommend a water and oil temp gauges as well

honestly I think im going to start saving or a tunerview or similar multi display gauge

Must be where you're trying to get them, like straight from japan. And even if it were a little more expensive, its because our dollar isn't worth **** from Seoul to Minsk.

Ain't no way a bunch of GReddys are more expensive than a Stack or AIM setup sir. You're off on prices somehow.

The greddy multi gauge are a little more expensive like 100 compare to the spa multi gauge but you are getting 3 gauge in 1 vs 2 in 1.

QUALITY AIN'T CHEAP... IT'S LIFE. Whether you think the rest is "brand image" or in someone's pocket, the GReddy last a LONG time.
