Default When your clutch slips, does it smell?

Well I've never owned a turbo Honda before and my all motor build was never this fast, plus I had drag radials on that set up.

Well now I'm boosted with street tires, I'm expecting I make about 280-300whp (street tuned), but I can't tell if my clutch is slipping or if my tires are spinning.

If I launch, I will get obvious wheels spin in first and second but in 3rd if I keep the gas pinned down I will just bounce the hell out of the rev limiter.

In 4th at WOT it will pull hard and then about 7500 RPM it just shoots to the rev limiter (9k) and bounces the hell out of it.

I've never driven a FWD with this much power before and I can't tell if the clutch is slipping or if I'm just roasting my street tires.

I have that Honda EMS 6 puck clutch....also I don't have any smells either.

you are probably spinning the tires and have a slipping clutch and on top that you might be running rich so post when you think you go it narrowed down

I'm not running rich, it's a perfect 12.0:1 in boost, but I don't see what that would have to do with it.

I'm not sure if the friction pads on your six puck smell the same, but the OEM organic liner kinda smells like rotten eggs.

I don't have any smell at all.

I do have a limited slip and upgraded mounts, I don't ever get wheel hop.

besides the fact that you said that it doesn't smell, it sounds like your burning your clutch.
if your only pushing 300butt-dyno-hp, you're no spinning your tires at the top of 4th, unless this is a 1000lb crx or something
Also, by the fact that you have an lsd, i furthur think it's your clutch.

In first and second it could be your tires too, as there isn't as much stress on the drivetrain as there is in higher gears, so the clutch might not be slipping yet.But as far as for third and fourth, it seems like your clutch.

With that kind of power your not going to be spinning the tires that bad in 4th. Your clutch is definitely shot.
