Default when is it necessary for an upgraded fuel pump?

the situation is a greddy kit, boosting only 7.5psi. will have a hondata stage 2b soon. how necessary is an upgraded fuel pump?

You need to upgrade the pump whenever your fuel pressure will exceed about 60 psi. The B series and H series pumps have a check valve in them that will limit their max fuel pressure to 75 psi. At 60 psi, the pump takes a pretty steep nosedive in efficiency and flow output.



So even if your FMU is trying to hold 90 psi (that is a very common pressure with an FMU) in the fuel rail, the pump will only deliver 75 = kaboom.
