Default When does the AFC lose it's memory ?

If I were to disconnect the ignition power or ground wire from a 'tuned' afc.... will the settings be retained... or will I need to do the setup/tuning again ?

settings will be retained due to the onboard eeprom design

So when does it lose the memory or what would cause it to clear ?

Or is it like a flash memory ? (no need for power to retain mem.)

The only time a Apexi AFC "should" lose its memory is when you initialize all the settings in the ETC menu.

Precisely, it stores them until you delete them. Think of how many guys would be writing down their settings I am constantly un-doing my battery when im doing wiring.

Whew....kewl...

So when I plug in this unit I bought... it should already have settings even after sitting for so long.

Good to know...even tho I need to re-initialize it anyways.

One is probably to power the unit and the other is to send power to the VTEC solenoid at the set VTEC engagement.
