A lot of people swear by the action 2md. I will give it a shot pretty soon as I am still on a exedy stg 1 clutch (~330whp, no slipping issues), but I will be going back to the dyno soon to go for ~400whp. I think I will likely need a new (stronger) clutch. GL.

I'm using the Action 2MD and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

Feels AWESOME and is holding my power no problem!

I am a big fan of ACT clutches

Also, when finding a clutch they are rated by tq, not hp.

Very true. I only referred to hp level because that's how Action rates them.

I know, I know, every engine turns diff rpm so this rating is bit fallacious. Oh, well.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I'm in the same dilemma as the OP. Aiming for a 400whp LS/VTEC w/ GSR tranny and was looking at the ACT 4 puck with a heavy duty preasure plate. Do u guys suggest this clutch will hold up fine? Car isn't daily driven, so pedal pressure isn't a huge concert.

Thanks

ACT 6 puck sprung heavy duty cover on a cable box, bites a little in traffic holds 400+ torque, not to heavy to push if you get the cable run right.
At the track it works very well, no problems at all.

If you want a good but yet not pricy Clutch get the Competition 4 or 5 stage. They really are awsome clutches. I heard good things about ACT but pricy. and heard nothing but good things about competition i have satge 4, 6 puck sprung hub nice piece of thing.

competition clutch 3 years and counting, not slipping with a 300 hp level, and that was the stage 2, I love it, the clutch pedal still engages and feels like stock, but grips like hell when under hard driving conditions

I have an ACT XTSS. I love it.

Engages good, grabs good. pedal pressure isnt too bad, I actually like it way more than stock.

Glad I cam across this. Motor is being rebuild but might as well put a new clutch in while I can. CC Stage 4 it is. Sprung since it is DD.
