Whats the Differences ?
Whats the Differences if you are running 15 psi of boost on a stock turbo or a racing turbo will there be any Differences in HP and why?

Smaller turbos move less airflow per pound of boost. Bigger turbos move more air per pound of boost. Airflow makes power. Boost is a measure of restriction. Think about it.

That is quite possibly the best description I've ever heard

Re: Whats the Differences ? (raene)
Good, yes...but a reply which Civic Sir probably doesn't understand.
In other words....it depends on ALOT of factors. How much boost? What sized engine? To what RPM will you be taking this engine? Blah, blah, blah.
What it comes down to is turbo efficiency. If you have a turbo spinning REALLY fast to try and keep up with your boost requirements for x rpm and an x sized engine....its going to produce ALOT of heat. Hot air = not good due to it being less dense. The point of turbo charging is to cram more air into your engine.....if you are boosting say 15 psi on a small turbo up to 8000 rpms on a 2 liter its gonna be pushing a lot of hot air because its out of its efficiency range. If however you use a larger turbo, it works less to do the same (within its efficiency range hopefully) and pushes cooler (more dense) air and producing more power.
That sounds about right. Does that make sense at all civic cir? If anyone has something to add...feel free. Thats all I've got, I'm still learning.

good job
small turbo cant handle big engine (good for low boost applications not making a lot of power)
big turbo big engine (more power/less boost)
