Default What would happen if...

What would happen if I install these JE 9.0:1 pistons a couple of weeks before the turbo goes on? Will I be driving around like a Ford F350 with a CRX HF motor in it? The problem is I can only have my car undrivable on the weekends. So i need a weekend to have the pistons installed, then another weekend to put the turbo kit on.

i doubt youll be able to install pistons and a turbo system (assuming its your first install) in one weekend. It's not good to rush while working on engines, this is usually when problems happen... I would go ahead and install the pistons before the turbo, allow about 500 break in miles for the rings to set properly then go ahead and throw the turbo on.

Yeah, I wouldn't be putting either the pistons or the turbo kit on myself. Will I be able to get on the freeway with non boosted 9.0:1 pistons in there though?

You won't be able to tell much of a difference between 9:1 and 10:1.
