what is the best thing to use for dsm injector seals....i know that they aren't an exact direct fit but what to use??

the best thing to use is the search feature.. there are dozens of posts on this topic and I am sure u will find an answer there.. make sure u search the archive too, not just recent topics
seach feature showed ONE response to "DSM +seal" ...stated that he dremelled out the stock seal....is that what everybody does??

that works very well. Only other problem is that the DSM are shorter. You can take a stock seal and cut it in half and stack that on top of the one you dremel out so that you will be able to seat the injector in the rail and in the lower seal.

NO, the DSM injectors are the exact same length as stock hondas.

The body of the injector is a little different though. This is a pic of injector seals that zdyne sells, which are taller so they fully cover the lower body of the DSM injector. But, they are rediculously overpriced @ $70.00.
Here is a pic of a DSM injector installed in a modified honda seal. Again, notice that it is not pressed in all the way, but that it DOES NOT need to be. Ideal installation, with the tip of the injector protruding into the manifold exactly the same as stock injectors.
Stock seals, bored out and ready to fit some DSMs.

From looking at the picture one of the injector are definitly shorter. Look how much longer the green one is? The only thing keeping them the same length is the seal. NO, the DSM injectors are the exact same length as stock hondas.

Except these are not O-Rings we're talking about. The same o-rings fit on TOP of both the DSM and Honda injetor.

I dont quite understand what your saying? The BODY of the DSM injectors are shorter, but the overall length is the same. Here, maybe if i make you a nice little diagram you'll see it. So the concensus is to bore out stock Honda injector seals to accept the DSM's, right?

If you don't want to bore out the seals, then go buy some faucet arreator (sp?) washers from Menards, Home Depot, etc. It works for me! (I lost one seal and had to improvise, ahahahah)
Some tips:
If you have fucked up o-rings, then use your stock Honda injector o-rings or go buy a pack of assorted o-rings. The DSM dealer wants $2.50 for (1) o-ring. (I know, I checked.)
DO NOT buy a new injector seal unless you want to pay $8.00 at the Honda dealer for ONE. (I know, I checked.)
Be careful when you bolt down the fuel rail. I snapped the fuel rail bolt pipe that bolts the rail to the manifold. ( I HAVE (2) extras if anyone wants them! hahah!) It costs $5.00 from the dealer so tell them to **** off.
The correct way to install the injectors is to put them into the rail first and then into the IM. However, I found it more easily to put them into the manifold first then bolt the rail onto it. However, DOING it this way can mess up the top o-rings of the injectors. BE CAREFUL.
That's it for now, my injectors work fine. They idle really well at -48%, haha.

So I take it your using the v/s afc hack and dsm injectors? How is it running for you and what is your setup? I just finished my charge piping and gonna do my oil/coolant lines then I'm done with it other than fuel setup. Let me know, thanks. That's it for now, my injectors work fine. It runs rather well. Right now, my car is down because of clutch engagement problems (unrelated to fuel setup).
However, my fuel setup is:
DSM 450cc injectors
resistor box
walbro 255lph fuel pump
VAFC
It runs pretty much like stock after I trimmed it out NASTY. But this is on a stock D16Y8. I wanted to do my fuel setup BEFORE i put on my turbo so I know that my fuel setup works. (Instead of putting everything on at same time) Hopefully, turbo goes in next week in time for HIN.

So you are running without turbo on the DSM injectors? You can still modify the fuel for NA without being over rich? WOW, I didn't think that was possible, thought it was too much for the stock motor, didn't know you could lean it out that far.
Do you really need the intank pump or would stock work fine since the fuel pressure is going to be stock also? Sounds good

My car has been down for 3 weeks, I'm beginning to forget what my car feels like
I'm not sure on the intank pump thing. I got just in case. Ask the other more-informed guys.
