Default What type of Turbo is This??

I have a garret turbo that's .48 a friend gave it to me but I dont know which garret it is.

Take the wheels off and measure them. You'll have to measure the width of the top and width of the bottom of both the compressor and turbine wheels with a micrometer. That's the only way we can really tell you what it is...that is, unless the serial numbers on it match to something in Garrett's catalog

Dont set PSI goals...that merely shows that you're inexperienced with turbo setups. It is best to set a power goal. For a stock B series, you're looking at about 325whp as a safe limit. Depending on the turbo, it takes a different PR to achieve that goal...

haha yea im new to the force induction world. i want to have a 230 whp DD. is that reliable with a completely stock motor with that turbo?

I dont know where that turbo is going to run out of breath, but if it could move enough air to support 300whp without outrageously high IATs, it would be safe on your GSR. For example with a GT3255b on my stock block GSR at 10.5psi, i made 315whp/216wtq on 91 octane fuel. It can and has been done...
