I currently have the garret gt35r and over the winter will be building the top end and sleeving my engine , we are planning on maxing the turbo out at the 650 range and use it for the season .

NOW when it comes time to upgrade what turbo to step up to and why .

i knotice the gt42 NON ball bearing are like $1000 good idea or bad idea ? on a large frame turbo will a journel bearing even be useful lol .


car is currently sitting at 466 hp gsr 81.5 mm on stock sleeves and stock head.

 

I doubt that GT35R is out of breath at 466whp...you should be able to make more with it although i doubt 650whp will happen. I'm sure people will suggest the 6265 billet and the BW S366...i can't speak for which is a better option given your goals and budget

 

we are going to try to max the gt35r out at the 650 mark , we will see once the good weather comes

should of worded this better what turbo would u guys suggest to get in the 750+ area

 

i run a pt67 man and it made 648@26psi with a stock head/built 84mm bottom end on e85 and 1000cc rc's I love the turbo I paid 400 bux for it cant beat it.

 

You ever think about upgrading your compressor wheel from the current GT35R you have? there are a couple of companies that do that to easily get over the 650whp. PM me.
