Yes, I know what you must be thinking, I hate these threads myself but now I find myself making one to help out a friend

He bought this a while back and is just now looking to put it into use - he says it's supposed to be a GT35R, I'm no expert on identifying turbos like this so I didn't offer my opinion - precision exh housing though . Attempts to contact the seller for confirmation haven't worked out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Tell your friend the same we tell everyone else.
1) list those numbers on that little shiny plate right there on the cartridge or take a close-up pic of it. That looks promising...

OR

2) get those housings off, measure inducer/ exducer of both compressor and exhaust wheels.

AND

3) calculate the "trim" from that.

From what I can see, cartridge is short enough to be a GT35R, Contour of GT35R wheel looks consistent. (I have one right here in front of me), as does the exhaust wheel. I see a restrictor in the feed area, but not sure about any water lines.

Gotta see more to verify.

 

Looks like a SC61 variant. Maybe a SC61RS......

 

Were there SC61 variants with watercooled center sections? Looks like there are 4 ports but its hard to tell for sure from the pictures posted.

Wheel measurements are mostly what I'd be interested in checking out too -- like TheShodan said.
