Default What size piping?

I will be running a very low boost turbo build on my gsr. (7-9 psi) right now i have 2 1/4 inch exhaust on my car i know i need to go bigger but how much bigger? Should i go all the way to three inch or will that be too big? Will 2.5 be enough?
Thanks,
Dan

bump for answer...sorry if this is a noob question...i know for high hp/high boost applications you NEED 3'' piping but i'm not sure about a smaller amount of boost/hp.

3" will be better but you can go with a good 60mm exhaust. Many, many people run them. Were talking about maybe 10HP difference at the level you are shooting for.

I went with 3" just because im lazy and didnt want to have to change it later. My friend runs 2.5...if you have the money I would say go with 3", but in either case you would be fine

3 inch all the way for your HP goals.
