Default what size injectors to run?

my motor will be finished within 2-3 weeks. and i am not sure what size injectors to run. my old motor was a stock b16 and a 55hp dry shot and the stock 240cc injectors were plenty. my new build is a b18c bottom end with 11.5:1 compression and a b16a2 head with skunk2 stage 2 cams and valve train and now i will be spraying a 75 shot. i was told by a shop to use rc 270s or 310s, and that the 270s would be fine. any guys with similar setups? what size are you guys running? thanks.

depends, what are you final whp goals? I would stay away from 270's...those are tiny and you could max them out really fast.

I would honestly say either 440's or 550's

440's are good for 300whp
550's are good for 400whp
1000's....I think they could handle the 75 shot

i am hoping to make around 300whp. a friend had a similar set up and he made 280 to the wheels on a 75 shot. i might spray 100. 440s sound big for when im not spraying. i have a vafc , fuel pressure regulator and cam gears to tune it though. thanks

you can run 1000's if you are tuned. If you spray 100hp shot and your injectors max out (from using the 270's) then you are looking at some bad news.

Get it tuned, and you can run any size injector that you want.

Are you looking to spray 75 or 100 shot dry or wet?

With a dry kit, I'd make sure you have a decent amount of fuel, 370-440 might not be bad. Better to be a little rich than lean. Make sure you're on some race gas too. Ok, that's it now, my post is starting to sound like a broken record.

they sell different size jets. the kit comes with jets for 55, 65 and 75 shots. you can go bigger.

it will run on 93 octane, pump, gas.

I doubt the 270's will be fine - 370's would be much better. Just curious why you are not using a wet kit?

i have had the dry kit for a while and have never had any problems with it. i got it for a good price. if it aint broke dont fix it. i heard when you run bigger shots wet kits are better. i might switch over if i need to, when i get some more money. thanks for the link.
