went to advance auto parts and they have a kit which bring a couple of different sizes but the sizes were all in inches....they had 1 - 5/8, 1 - 1/2 and up......after converting it to mm it was too big....so i got a 34.3 and a 35mm at napa and i got one of them expansion plugs that has the nut on the back where you tighten it and it expands in the hole for worst case scenario....it would be nice to know the exact size instead of guessing....no one has anything between 34.3 and 35 so i hope one of these work....

even if you can't find the 34.3 or whatever it is, i've taken a 34mm plug and expanded it enough to get it to seal. kind of a pain, but i ended up using a big socket to tap into the open part of the plug.

It is a interference fit so yea I had to tap it in with a hammer. From experience almost every block uses a different size. My Ls used a 34.3. The b16 used a 35.

Re: (xsi-t)
I couldnt find ANY metric freeze plugs anywhere when i was doing my (go figure no metric in canada) anyways.. I ended up using one of the rubber ones you tighten untill it is tight, but i could only find one size way too small and another too big, so i pulled the rubber off the big one, shaved it down with a grinder, and put it back together, hammered it in the block with a mallet, then tightened her up real good. Its been good so far, its in there tight!
