what size down pipe??????
Okay, heres the deal, I'm going to be boosting my 95 Ex Coupe (D16Z6). Im probably going to go with the Greddy kit to start with and then upgrade (does anyone know if this kit comes with an intercooler?).
The problem is I have a High flow cat and a 2.25" cat-back exhaust. So should i get a 2.25" downpipe or should i go bigger? I don't want the exhaust to go thru a "bottle neck" exhaust so what would you guys do? I really don't want to have to buy a new exhaust, plus they are a PIA to hang when you can only get the car up about a foot and a half off the ground.
Im only going to be boosting at most 6lbs so do you guys think 2.25" is a big enough exhaust? I will also be swapping out the E-manage for Hondata asap.
thanx for any suggestions

The Greddy kits don't come wiht fmic's, and I know for sure the CARB legal kits don't.
As for the DP, go as big as you can. You will have a tough time fitting anything in there if you keep AC, but whatever you can fit will be better than the cast elbow the kit comes with. Even if you keep a 2.25" exhaust, a larger DP will benifit you because of the volume change. The gasses decrease from 1200F to a few hundred by the time it reaches the cat, which means it becomes much more dense.
The 15g turbo will spool quickly anyways, so its not the biggest deal. Adding an intercooler is probably the cheapest/easiest upgrade to that kit, besides injectors and an EMS. That turbo is okay up to 15psi, and the stock map goes to 11psi, so eventually you could just turbo boost to 10psi and still be within the d-series safety limit.
