What setup do ya'll suggest?
Okay, well a while back, I was thinking on starting a homemade turbo with my stock D16Y8 engine and DSM turbo and what not, but some of you guys talked some sense into me, therefore, I now gotta wait a couple months to do it the right way but I will be needing your guys's help. Obviously, Im new to the forced induced scene so I'm not too sure on what all I will be needing. It be more then cool if you guys gave me some ideas, what brand of pistons and what else besides pistons I will be needing, I think Ill have a budget of about 4000-5000 bucks, what turbo setup do ya'll suggest and pistons with that much of a budget?-thanx and appreciated!!

Nobody asked if you were or not.
To the OP - Do what you want. If you spend any time on HMT you'll learn that H-T is a bandwagon. Do what YOU want with YOUR car, not what other people think you should do. What are your goals for this car?

Well I've had this car since my freshmen year and I am now a junior. I was thinking of getting a new car for my graduation present but I figured with the fraction of how much thats gonna cost I can just hook my civic up and my goal is to at least make it run mid to low 14's by the end of this summer(with a budget of about 4000 dollars). I'm pretty much finished with the interior and exterior and now I wanna go forced induced by turbocharging it. So far I have the basic I/H/E, Apexi VAFC, lightweight fidanza flywheel, and stage 1 exedy racing clutch, I ran a 16.6 on the 1/4 mile last sunday but I havent yet gotten used to the new clutch and flywheel( it is definately alot different). Now I wanna get my engine ready enough so I can boost at least 12 psi without having any problems with it after turbocharging it. So now Im pretty much just asking for a few suggestions?-thanx.
