In order to help you....you should state your intentions of the project. Is the car all motor? going to boost it, if so how much???

Seeing how he said forced induction... i'm going to guess its not NA.

Ebay crap will always be ebay crap. They'll warp/ding/mess up in the end with something and you'll be scraping apart your engine in a few months. Just go out and get a decent set. A lot of people like Eagle rods.

Don't get it off ebay you will be sorry down the road bro. We need more information like budget, hp goals and what motor it is.

People swear by the vitara and eagle rod setup so if youre on a budget go with that. Do not get noname brands off of ebay

if he is going low boost, there is no need to change out the rods, maybe just the bolts. Pistons will also depend on how much boost

The dude hasn't even said what motor he's building.
OEM pistons or Vitaras are fine up to a certain point. For a DD with a reasonable amount of boost, cast are just fine. And if you know what motors to get pistons from, you can tweak your compression to where you want it. They'll hold up if you have a decent tune, and they don't expand as much, so you can run tighter piston to wall clearance. That means less noise, better emissions, more reliability, everything. Forged have more options, but even then, it's finding who makes what you want, at a price you can afford.

For forged pistons, SRP/JE, Wiseco, CP, etc are all good. I would recommend the SRP because they're cheaper than the others, and the alloy they use is meant for daily drivers, so it doesn't expand as much as the JE pistons. Only disadvantage is that you're stuck with shelf pistons. Used pistons are fine, it's a great way to save a lot of money. And lots of people part out low mileage motors, so you can get some nice slugs for not too much.

OEM rods are acceptable to a certain point. Just it depends what motor we're talking about. The B18 LS rods really should have the bolts replaced if you're even thinking of boost, if not the rods themselves. The B18 GSR rods are fine up to over 300. D series can use the LS rods.

Eagle makes decent rods for the money. A LOT of people use them, so unless you're doing something insane with them, it doesn't make sense to spend more.
