What are people in PA doing for this new Emissions testing in PA?
I just passed PA inspection. Its strictly visual. You visuall have to have a cat, but they don't actually check to see if it is hollow or not. However, it is a huge fine if they find out it is hollow. I passed with an electric cutout. As of right now, this is totally legal. I'm also running 650cc injectors, bigger fuel pump, bigger (non stock) turbo, Camaro LS1 airflow sensor, and a MAFT translator that says "offroad use only" on it.
However, it would be sad if my car DIDN'T pass. I run through the cat on the street and its in better mechanical and emissions shape that it was when I first got it 3 years ago. Its a clean car. If you care about your car and maintain it it should make power AND burn clean on pump gas.

Sweet 4 year old thread.
I have passed all my turbo cars through the plug in scan.
Just do some wiring and you can pass it no problem.

I'm in for more info as well. Going to have to pass my 99 SI in March. Wtf are people doing to pass the OBD2 scan?? I'd like to know the "wiring" people are describing. My plan was either:
1. Put stock injectors back in. Pull wastegate spring. Disconnect a charge pipe in case of boost creep. Then hope they don't see my open dump tube...
2. Use a piggyback like AEM Fic or Emanage Ultimate. Tune to compensate for larger injectors. Pull wastegate spring... etc as listed above.

I have a cat on my car for visual, but it could possibley be empty....lol I put less than 5k on my car and I go to a garage that they kinda just look around at the car and just give you a sticker

Put in the stock ecu, injectors, o2 sensor. You can mimic the secondary o2 sensor with resistors and you can use the signal wire from the primary o2 sensor with a resistor feeding the secondary input to the ecu.
And since I didn't have a CKF sensor on my OBD1 oil pump, I just ran the CYP sensor inputs into the CKF sensor inputs on the OBD2 ecu.
The car plugged in and passed 2 years in a row with a built B16 with a stock OBD2A LS ecu in the car with what I listed above. This is what I plan on doing with my current motor as well.
