What is MY weakest link?
my setup is as follows, if i am missing anything i will add it to this post so it stays together in the future- ask what you will.
I am looking to see what i should shoot for on the dyno without blowing the motor.
block: B18C1
pistons: SRP 9.5:1
Rods: Eagle H-beam
Rod bolts ARP
Head Gasket OEM
Head Studs ARP
Head STD GSR with upgrades: (supposed to be good for 10,500 revs but who goes that high?
Valves Supertech Ti valves, springs and retainers
cam gears JG edelebrock
Plugs NGK BKPR 7
Wires MSD
ignition system stock
Injectors RC 550cc (with resistor box)
fuel pump walbro 255 lph
Manifold inline pro
Wastegate Tial 38mm (dump tube straight out- no feed to exhaust)
DP inline pro 2.5" from turbo to 3" flare at test pipe
cat k-teller test pipe
turbo Innovative turbo 57 trim, stage 3 wheel (A/R not known)
exhaust Thermal 3" cat back
boost controller Apexi ACV-R
tranny GSR
LSD ITR
tuning hondata s200b
BOV GReddy type s
fmic and piping greddy 2"
stock intake manifold and stock block -- i know are weak points so based on this where should i stop, how weak do my injectors make it- should i bump to 750/780? if so can my block take it?
thanks for any help

thanks- im looking to di a victor x soon but thats only if the blockcan take it- do you think its worth it-
See i have a daily driver civic, and my new baby is my 04 NSX so i dont want to spend toooo much money on the teg but i would like to properly complete my setup and do it right.

Re: (vtec.dc2)
as much as it takes to hear the motor scream for mercy then back off a bit-- LOL
I dont want to blow the block but i do want to extract as much power as i can- so basically puch it to the limits. this is not a car i drive daily so it wont be under alot of stress.
also i will mostly keep it at 10 psi until occasional drag days where i will bump it up bu even then not THAT high--lets say i can tune safely to 20 psi - even on a track day ill stay at 17-18 to be safER

thats funny because the fastest street integra runs them.

^^ exactly- and ps im not rebuilding a block- just looking to see what i can get out of this motor. next one ill use your opinion. but thats not the main question here
what should i dhoot for out of this block and what should i do to get more out of it without rebuilding. basically any minor upgrades such as injectors? if so what will that minor add on give me in return.

Re: (zeimbo)
this is the kind of answer i am looking for- thank you
the down pipe is mildly customized to the setup now (had to cut and flange it with a spinning flange - so i probably will leave that
the injectors ill def. change.
ignition - i used to have an MSD blaster ss coil that went out then the cap cracked so i went back to stock.
i can replace that stuff easy -
finally the chargepiping ill do later good suggestion but why 2.5" how can that improve anything?

I agree. I was gonna say that the injectors will limit the potentail.
On the ignition I have heard of 10 second hondas running stock ignitions. Correct me if I am wrong.

Re: (katoeh2o)
Only thing I would upgrade are the injectors. You can make plenty of power with stock igntion, stock manifold and 2.5 downpipe. Most people go over kill on there parts.

Re: (nonvtecallmotor)
i mean you can use the 2.5" downpipe and still make good power. but the mod that most wrx's, evos, etc do is go to a 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust right off the bat. thats one of the biggest power adding relatively cheap mods for non-drag turbo cars.
larger charge piping will allow for more flow from your turbo, not a neccessity but it will definitely help. injectors will really limit you, thats why its always better to have bigger and not be at 100% duty cycle and still have room to expand.
and yes, you can run the stock ignition but its a lot better for your motor to run an aftermarket ignition with more spark.
