Default What motor mounts?

I just wanted to ask all of the fi guys on here what motor mounts they are using?I am trying to get some info on whether or not to buy the mounts now or wait a while and see if I really need them?I also would like to know which ones are prone to breaking and what brands you prefer and which you dont?I would like to know what the guys above the four hundred hp mark are using and I will be using them in a ek chassis with a b series but that doesnt mean I will not take any experiences good or bad from another chassis and motor combo.I searched but would like to know what everyone thinks about the choices now? Thanks

I looked at jim fab a long time ago and I cant remember if they made a replacement kit for the ek but hasport mounts are the only design that I have seen that use a solid aluminum plate to mount them and it just seems like a really sturdy design?I know you get what you pay for but are the other designs just not worth it or are they limited to a certain hp range and that is what I am looking to find out?I also have seen some from arizona race machine but havent heard much about them?

I use, AVID. Got them cuz they were cheaper and sounded good. Was cool till i had to drill holes in one of their brackets to get engine where it needed to be. They didn't fit too good but i guess thats why they were half the price of the hasports.

A picture is worth 1000 words.....had to drill two holes, either they sold me the wrong bracket or they are all like that, either way i make it work, going to fix the other holes once car runs.

Far from it, It's a my garage and 10hrs of work manifold

nowhere near a full race mani but cost $1,000 less, plus that was the first one i ever did and it's not even done yet. wastegate and coating left. I should get some pics with the pt67 on the mani.

thanks.
