ive been searching for a while and have come up with the idea to piece together my own kit. Most down pipes i find have a flex fitting on them right before the cat, or test pipe. how are these? do they interfear with exhaust sound or not. i only ask because ive replaced these on mitsubishis before and it seems like a shitty design that fails and leaks. any help appreciated.

 

I have always ran a small flex section never had any problems on my honda or my dsm! Wouldnt worry about the flex section leaking
