Default What kind of Standalone?

What kind of standalone systems do you use? I'm going to be starting to build up a B18 block from Dart with a VTEC head on it over the winter, eventually going to be turbocharged. I was thinking of going with a Motec system with the B-series harness, seeing as I won't have a stock ECU and might as well just go standalone to begin with. Any advice about running one/any tips would be appreciated.

Not many people in N/A are great at tuning motec. My advice is to check around with some local tuners, and see what they are the best at tuning at. Not worth dropping a ton of cash for a motec when there's a guy right around the corner than tuns AEM EMS or Accel gen 7.
