Default what kind of HP?

Hey guys Im currently running an all motor setup, with almost 250 whp.
I have a Accel DFI in the car already, and wanted to make the switch to turbo
but I dont wanna make the move just to get another 50 horses. I was wondering what kind of numbers you guys are puttin down on what kind of setup.
Im intersted more in horsepower and torque compared to track times

what kind of times are you throwing down with that setup?

250WHP all motor + slick + VX hatch = (correct me if i'm wrong) 11.5 & under

never ran the car w/ slicks best was 12.8 @ 105, (2.2 60 ft.)but thats the thing, I got alot of DSMs around here, and I dont want to have to start gutting out the car.
I wanna try an make atleast 400 whp on a setup that will make boost at decent RPM.

depending on what compression you are running, and your internals, you might be able to push 10psi on really high compression and hit your hp goals easily....

I dont know if this would make sense, just throwing it out......but couldnt you set up some sort of alky/water injection to help tune with high compression pistons?? Everyone around here says that you can run whatever compression you want as long as you tune it right, but I havent seen it done on compression like that. If you ran like 10psi with either race gas or the alky/water injection, it might just work or maybe not, but I want to see what someone else has to say about it because I have been wondering just how high you can go on compression w/turbo....

You could always spray. For the amount of cash it is going to cost you to put in new pistons you could pick up a small fuel cell, fill with race gas, and run off that when you are racing. Just a thought.

actually thats my whole point I have a 4 fogger on the car, (never used it yet)
jetted for 80 shot so with that I would be over 300 HP, and I also have a dry kit layin around, I would be able to tune the DFI for. thats why Im askin how hard it would be to get 400 horses on FI.
Laughin what kind of power are you makin on what kind of setup if you dont mind me askin

here's my dyno sheet b18c turbo.
BTW- This was on a clayton dyno, not a dyno jet.

DFI also. 81mm @ 21psi

400 whp is quite a bit to do unless you have a built motor
u would have to change quite a bit of your motor to get it to go FI instead of all motor
the setups are different and you would be going in two opposite directions

Im hoping to be at full boost by 5000rpm or so. not exactly street friendly, but I think the high compression will help bring my spool-rpm down. Plus, lag is my friend, as Im on my way to 500whp, and am running peg leg....

with n/a its easier to hook up.. less torque and you dont have as much as soon...
much harder to hook up with turbo.. just something to think about.
i dont know about you but with slicks.. high 11's allmotor would be pretty cool to me..
you should just keep your set up.
if you want boost..build another car..

Nah I know I would have to switch the setup that's common sense, But my whole thing is first; I wanna stay at 81mm, w/ stock sleeves ( Iknow it can be done with good tuning), second; I want boost at a decent RPM(my mirage 2.0 use to be at full boost 3800 and use to make almost 380) third; it has to make atleast 400whp.
what kind of setup would get this accomplisged

stock sleeves and 400whp is pushing it. You will be playing a dangerous game with your sleeves. If I were you, I would resleeve the block and then worry about 400whp.

Besides you're not going to be driving on the street with 400whp, unless you have that much money to be driving around with c16 in your tank.

First try 300whp! Then move up.

Why does everyone want a 400whp car these days?

The same reason you want 500 HP.

stock sleeves with 400 Hp is not pushin it cause like you said I would not be drivin it with 400 HP everday at full boost. There are many cars in NY runnin stock sleeves runnin crazy numbers with stock sleeves, I know full race cars ( not gonna mention any names) that run stock sleeves . Tuned well its very possible

I never said it wasn't possible because I know of many cars runnign stock sleeves and high boost.

But I will say one thing, they will all crack sooner or later if you keep on boosting it.

I'm saying you will be pushing it, while you are boosting it.

Racecar , stock sleeves , no problem because if you blow it up you have 5 others to work with.

Street car, like most of us, have only one motor. I rather be safe then sorry. That's just my outlook on things.

P.S. Just so that we are on the same wavelength here, I'm talking about WHP not just HP @ the flywheel. Because 400hp (crank) can be easily done on stock sleeves. 400whp (to the wheels) is a differnt ball game.

We all know who's running stock sleeves in thier race car.

My GE sleeves has held up for 1 year now an I beat on my car every day!

I never had one customer come back to me with cracked sleeves from GE.
