Default What kind of boost response....

I was wondering at what RPM I could expect to hit full boost(7-10PSI) on a mildly modded B16A with a T3/TO4E 57 Trim .63 A/R. I think it's bigger than what I need but, I read that bigger turbos with lower boost was the way to go. It would be tuned with hondata by a professional.

I say late spooler on the B16 with a .63 a/r. Although it depends on which .63 turbine you have, is it the Turbonetics variety? Their "Stage 3" .63 would spool up way late, but you'll want the Stage 3 for flowing the HP's later, you might want to get a spare .48 for street/road race use. That .63 will be good for drag racing.

No it's by garrett, a new sponsor on here is having aspecial on those specific turbos for 585 shipped. But with boost coming on so late I may not get one. I was thinking full boost by like 3500...5-5500 is pretty late IMO.

here's the link too the page.

yeah, that's a late spooler for even an 1800 CC engine, you need a .48. PM him and see if a .48 is available. Ball bearings will probably have it spool 500 RPM sooner.

What kind of RPMs could I expect to hit full boost again 7-10 PSI with the BB option and the .48 A/R? Also Is this turbo capable of say around 300-325 HP at a higher boost level of course(That's the goal once I build up the block...till then I don't want more than 250HP.)

on my stock b16 with that turbo
makes boost at 3300rpm full boost by 4000ish

Would a smaller A/R make it spool any faster though (.48 vs.63)? I know the BB upgrade makes full boost 500-1000 rpms quicker than the same turbo without BBs.
